Job description – Architect
Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Architect to join our team. The successful candidate will be working closely with clients and users, will make sure that projected designs match requirements and are functional, safe and economical, and in some cases highly innovative. S/He will usually control a project from start to finish and work with a number of construction professionals, including surveyors and engineers.
This role requires a keen eye for detail, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
As an architect, S/He will design new buildings, extensions or alterations to existing structures and advise on the restoration and conservation of old properties. S/He may work on individual buildings or on large redevelopment schemes, and your responsibility can extend to the design of the surrounding landscape and spaces.
Responsibilities
- Meet with clients to understand their requirements, preferences, and budget for the project.
- Develop layouts and designs using software tools or sketches to optimize space functionality and aesthetics.
- Recommend and source appropriate materials, finishes, and fixtures that meet the project's needs and budget.
- Collaborate with carpenters, electricians, plumbers, and other trades to ensure seamless integration of all elements.
- Ensure all installations meet safety, durability, and quality standards.
- Oversee timelines, budgets, and team members to deliver projects on schedule and within budget.
- Provide ongoing support, including repairing or modifying existing fittings as required.
- Adhere to health and safety regulations, building codes, and client-specific standards throughout the project
Qualifications
- ARB qualified.
- Proficient in CAD and modelling software, e.g.: AutoCAD, Revit, VectorWorks, Sketchup, Rhino etc.
- Proficient in 3D rendering software, e.g.: V-ray, D5, Blender, Twinmotion etc.
- Proficient in image processing software, e.g. : Adobe Photoshop, GIMP etc.
- Excellent knowledge of modern construction materials
- Excellent knowledge of modern architectural principles, equations and processes.
- A first-rate understanding of construction processes
- Commercial awareness and business acumen
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent, Fixed term contract
Contract length: 60 months
Pay: £26,000.00-£39,800.00 per year

Experience:
- At least 2 years experience as an Architectural Assistant
- At least 1 year experience as an Architect
Licence/Certification:
- ARB
- CSCS (preferred)
- Driving Licence (preferred)
